The 2816 is the high capacity version of the 1216/1516 for measuring Axial load and Torsion with minimum crosstalk. This unit provides high outputs on both outputs making it very suitable for cyclic applications with large numbers of cycles. The flange style coupling provides a robust method of load attachment and ease of alignment in complex loading systems.
Custom versions have been produced with outputs for Thrust (Z), X-Moment, Y-Moment and Torsion (T) for specialised applications e.g. testing of composite components.

3 Axis Load Cell
The Interface A3, 3 axis load cell measures force simultaneously in three mutually perpendicular axes: X, Y and Z. This makes it ideal for many industrial and scientific applications, such as robotics, aerospace, automotive, biomechanical and medical research
Each axis supplies an output of 1mV/V and does not require mathematical manipulation. The A3 load cell is built to minimize eccentric loading and cross talk between channels.
The A3 is available in a wide range of capacities from just 10Ns and in five different physical sizes. However, if the standard range does not meet your needs we are happy to work with you on a custom design
Built on the 1200 series Precision design these units have additional outputs for X & Y Moments making it possible to monitor off-axis loads for information about alignment accuracy. The standard 'thrust' output has the accuracy and performance of the 1200 series units making this unit very suitable for calibration applications.
New European proposals have been suggested to introduce off-axis load monitoring into current Standards such as ISO-7500/1 and ISO-376.
