With the number of sensors being used by industry increasing exponentially, the need to collect data from sensors in difficult-to-access or remote locations is also growing fast.
When enabled, data can now be wirelessly transmitted. There are several ways to do this:
SEMOTA : SENSE, MONITOR, TRIGGER, ACT
Reacting to this growing requirement, Interface Force Measurements U.K. is pleased to launch our new remote sensor monitoring service, SEMOTA.Continuous remote monitoring
SEMOTA is a combined hardware and software solution with a web-based application that enables the remote monitoring of load cells, torque and pressure sensors or any sensor that has an analogue output. Remote monitoring of sensors involves the use of sensors to collect data on the weight, force, torque or pressure applied to one or more sensors from a distance. Here's how you can set up remote monitoring of your sensors:How to set up remote monitoring
Select the correct sensor: Choose the sensors that are suitable for your specific application. These sensors can be new devices supplied by Interface complete with wireless transceivers already fitted such as the Interface 1200-WTS load cell or existing sensors where transceivers like the WTS-AM can be retrofitted. SEMOTA can monitor single sensors, multiple sensors and even different types of sensors.
When enabled, data can now be wirelessly transmitted. There are several ways to do this: Data transmission to the cloud
- Using a WTS-BS base station receiver connected to a PC’s USB port. The PC can be used to collect data directly or transmit data to the cloud via an internet connection. The WTS-BS can accept data signals from up to 100 different sensors.
- By using an Ethernet/ Cloud base station receiver. These accept signals from up to sixty wireless sensors and transmit the data to the cloud via the ethernet port of a connected wireless router.
- By connecting your sensor to a cellular transmitter with a SIM card. This will transmit your sensor’s data to the cloud via the GSM network.
View data on Windows, iOS or Android
Once connected data can be viewed on our SEMOTA app using any Windows, Android or iOS device. SEMOTA Continuous Remote Monitoring provides dynamic dashboard views of your events, analysis and device control.
- Information can be captured and stored for up to three years.
