The AMTI Model MC5 High Load Capacity 6-Axis Force & Torque Transducer is a heavy-duty, multicomponent strain gauge sensor engineered to measure forces and moments simultaneously across a single structural axis. Sized perfectly to bridge the mid-range performance gap between AMTI’s popular MC3 and MC8 series, this specialized 6-degree-of-freedom (6DOF) transducer resolves multi-directional forces that shift position and amplitude over time. It is highly used across the UK for advanced aerospace validation rigs, collaborative robotics mapping, industrial machining evaluation, high-capacity ocean engineering towing tanks, and orthopaedic simulators.

Manufactured as a single, ultra-stiff cylindrical strain element from high-strength aluminium alloy, the MC5 features a professional anodised surface finish to completely resist exterior corrosion. Both the top and bottom mating surfaces are outfitted with rugged threaded inserts to facilitate direct mechanical integration into active test frames.
