The Interface 2816 Axial Torsion 2-Axis Load Cell is an elite, high-capacity dual-axis force sensor custom-engineered to measure axial thrust loads and torsional torque simultaneously within a single, low-profile footprint. Serving as a rugged, higher-capacity expansion of the flagship 1216 and 1516 series, the Model 2816 is structurally optimised for cyclic testing applications across massive lifetimes.

The mechanical architecture incorporates independent Wheatstone bridges to record both push-pull forces and rotational torque forces independently, eliminating the need for complex software scaling or mathematical adjustments. Built with an internal design that delivers extreme extraneous load resistance, it features an exceptionally low crosstalk performance profile to heavily mitigate moment or side-load installation interference. The cell provides standard measurement envelopes tracking high capacities up to 15,000 lbf (66.7 kN) axial force and 7,500 lbf-in (847 Nm) torsional torque. Engineered with a robust, flange-style bolt pattern to facilitate rapid mounting alignment within complex actuators, this alloy steel sensor is a premier option for high-repetition material evaluations and aerospace component verification strings.
