The Interface Model 5330 Hollow Flange Style Reaction Torque Transducer is a high-stiffness static measurement instrument engineered explicitly for applications requiring an open axial centre. Featuring a unique large through-hole bore, this hollow shaft design permits electric motor shafts, mixer blades, hydraulic lines, or electrical wiring harnesses to pass directly through the physical centre of the sensor. This structural layout means that cables or other mechanical components can be routed through the centre to keep rig dimensions within tighter limits. It is widely used across the UK for industrial ingredient-mixing machinery, powertrain test beds, automotive component evaluations, and automated laboratory test cells.
The defining mechanical benefit of the Model 5330 family is its uncompromised high torsional stiffness profile combined with a remarkably compact overall length. Machined as a flanged housing, the rigid internal design isolates true rotational twisting forces while remaining highly resistant to complex bending and shear loads. By using proprietary Interface strain gauges into an internally balanced full-bridge configuration, the device keeps maximum tracking deviations down to a strict ±0.1% FS nonlinearity.
